CNC Machining: common questions
What kind of parts do you machine?
Turned parts on CNC Lathe, such as shafts and bushings, and prismatic parts on CNC Milling and Machining Center, such as plates, blocks and brackets.
What tolerances can you hold?
It depends on the part, the material and the process. When quoting, we review your tolerances and confirm what we can guarantee.
What instruments do you use for inspection?
Digital calipers up to 1,000 mm (39″), digital micrometers and protractors, pin gages and radius gages, all with annual calibration and certification.
Do you provide inspection reports?
Yes. We offer PPAP and first article inspection (FAI) on request.
What files do you need for a quote?
A PDF drawing with tolerances and, ideally, the 3D model in STEP, with material, quantities and finish.
Can you cut and machine the same part?
Yes. We cut the material with Laser Cutting or Waterjet and finish it with CNC Machining, all with one supplier.
